through the U of L hospital system in which I received advanced training in anesthesia, sedation, and oral surgery as well as restorative and reconstructive dental treatment modalities.
After having graduated from Texas Tech University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Chemistry, I attended graduate school at Tech part-time and worked odd jobs for a year while preparing for professional school. In 1975, I was conferred the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree by the University of Louisville Health Sciences Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Following this, I completed a General Practice Residency program
Sciences Center and is currently working on a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth. The younger, holds a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and continues pursuing a career as a singer-songwriter in Austin, Texas. In addition, she is employed as a member services representative for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners

Karen and I are involved in various types of Christian volunteer work including the mentoring of young inmates in the state penitentiary system and involvement in a prison ministry organization known as Kairos Prison Ministries. We enjoy playing golf, dancing, reading and quiet evenings together at home.

My wife, Karen, and I have raised two daughters who are busy with their own with pursuits. The elder holds a BS from Texas Tech in Microbiology, a BSN and RN from Texas Tech University Health
